Musik, sie lebt im permanenten Wandel, und Ivan Santos führt diese Tradition fort, indem er Elemente der Musik des brasilianischen Nordostens mit denen der aktuellen urbanen Sounds vermengt. Das Lied “Ninguém faz idéia“ wurde 2005 mit dem Grammy als bestes brasilianisches Lied in portugiesischer Sprache ausgezeichnet.

Manimal mixt moderne Popmusik mit brasilianischer Folklore und entwickelte daraus einen eigenen Stil: den so genannten Rockcongo. Die Band wurde bekannt durch mehr als 30 Konzerten in Europa – u.a. in Portugal (EXPO), Spanien, Frankreich Italien, Belgien und den Niederlanden.

Brazilian music with its steady changes is the chameleon of international music. Ivan Santos is continuing this tradition by mixing elements of the music of the Brazilian Northeast with the current urban sounds. In 2005 the song “Ninguém faz idéia“ was awarded with the Grammy as the best Brazilian song in Portuguese language.
